The American video hosting, sharing, and services platform Vimeo has announced that they will be the first to enable hosting, sharing and playback of videos created in Dolby Vision on Apple devices. This initiative will be launched along with with Dolby.
They said that all the Apple device users can use Vimeo which provides a professional quality video technology.
Anjali Sud, CEO of vimeo said in a statement, "Vimeo's mission is to enable professional-quality video for all, and today we are delivering that power in Dolby Vision to hundreds of millions of Apple users globally."
The videos which are recorded by an Apple device in the Dolby Vision can now be viewed and shared in the exact picture quality. The quality which the creator wants will be maintained.
The videos which are created in the Dolby Vision delivers a rich and vivid picture filled with adequate contrast, incredible brightness, accurate colours, and details. The Apple users can upload Dolby Vision videos shot on iPhone models. The videos which are edited in iMovie or by Final Cut Pro are also supported.
Vimeo can detect automatically and playback videos in Dolby Vision on all the Apple devices which are compatible. The devices includes iPhone 8 and it's updated versions, the 2nd generation iPad Pro and later, iOS 14, Apple TV 4K on tvOS 14 connected to a Dolby Vision TV and Mac on macOS Big Sur or later.
