The company gave no time that exactly when will the new feature will be adopted by these states

American tech company Apple has said that the first US states that will support the new iOS 15’s new ability are Arizona and Georgia.

It will be able to store driver’s licenses and state IDs in the Wallet app. After these two states are provided with the new feature, other states like Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Utah will get the update.

The company gave no time as to exactly when the new feature will be adopted by these states while the Transportation Security Administration has confirmed that it will open selected airport checkpoints along with security lanes to Apple’s mobile IDs.

According to reports, a state ID and driver’s license to Apple’s Wallet app will work in the same way the users currently add a credit card. But the user is required to provide a selfie that the state will use for verification.

Apple said that they will remove any doubts regarding the matter. The company will work with the government departments to provide best results for the users.
