China successfully launches satellite to test and verify space debris mitigation technology

The new satellite will be called as Shijian-21 and it was launched by a Long March-3B carrier rocket

 

China has successfully launched a new satellite on Sunday to test and verify space debris mitigation technologies.

 

The satellite was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in southwest China’s Sichuan Province and it entered the planned orbit successfully.

 

The new satellite will be called as Shijian-21 and it was launched by a Long March-3B carrier rocket.

 

The news agency, Xinhua has reported that Shijian-21 satellite will be specifically used to test and verify the space debris mitigation technologies and state-run.
