Epic files appeal over Apple antitrust ruling

The iPhone maker tells that Epic has refused to comply with their App Store review guidelines

The legal duel between the Apple and Epic game continues as the video game company has filed an appeal against the ruling in its case against Apple.

The gaming firm said that they will be taking the ruling to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.

The appeal document stated “Notice is hereby given that Epic Games Inc appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from the final Judgment entered on September 10, 2021.”

One of the most popular and famous games, 'Fortnite' developed by Epic games was removed from Apple’s App Store in South Korea last year after the game maker introduced its own direct payment system to bypass Apple’s extra 30 percent commissions and charges. The iPhone maker says that Epic has refused to comply with their App Store review guidelines.
