Facebook Messenger rolls out new feature updates

The social media giant will now introduce new security for end-to-end encryption in the app

One of the most popular social media apps Facebook has announced that it will be introducing the option to make voice and video calls end-to-end encrypted on Messenger along with new controls for disappearing messages for the users.

Director of Product Management Ruth Kricheli said that users expect their messaging apps to be secure and private, and with these new features we’re giving them more control over how private they want their calls and chats to be in future.

The company will now introduce this new security for end-to-end encryption in the app which is already widely used by WhatsApp to keep personal conversations safe from hackers and criminals.

The company even says that Facebook can not see or listen to the messages which are sent or said. And in the coming weeks, some people may get access to more test features with greater privacy and security.
