Facebook has partnered with Ray-Ban, and has launched its own smart glasses named ‘Ray-Ban Stories’. It is a step toward the company's aim to offer true augmented reality spectacles.
Facebook in a statement said, “Today, we’re excited to launch Ray-Ban Stories: smart glasses that give you a new way to capture photos and video, share your adventures and listen to music or take phone calls so you can stay present with friends, family and the world around you."
These new modern day glasses were created in partnership with Ray-Ban maker EssilorLuxottica. It will allow the person to listen to calls, music, capture photos and short videos and share them across Facebook's services. The starting prices would start from $299. It will be available in twenty style combinations and will be sold online or in selected retail stores in the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy and in the UK.
