Facebook has finally announced two whole new models of its Portal video calling devices.
Named as Portal Go, is a ten inch portable device which is priced at $199 and the next-generation Portal+ with a 14-inch HD tilting display priced at $349.The products will begin shipping on 19 October.
The company said, "With remote work becoming a long-term strategy, distributed teams can benefit from feeling like they're together in the same room. So we're reimagining how Portal is used at work - at home and in the office - by unlocking opportunities for collaboration in the spaces where business gets done."
It is the very first version of the company's hardware that works with a battery and is entirely for video calling. It is made to let conversations move from room to room easily with an integrated handle and has a long-lasting battery. It will have a 12MP camera with an ultrawide field of view.
It supports Zoom, Webex, BlueJeans as well as GoToMeeting. In the month of December, it will also add Microsoft Teams.
