Google has confirmed that the new Locked Folder in Photos will be rolled out on all Android devices soon.
This new feature was released by the company exclusively on the Pixel phones in June. The company has not given an exact date for when the feature will be released more widely.
The firm said, "With Locked Folders in @googlephotos, you can add photos to a passcode-protected space and they won't show up as you scroll through photos or other apps on your phone. Locked Folder is launching first on Google Pixel, and more Android devices throughout the year."
The new Photos Locked Folder will be supported by smartphones which are running Android 6.0 and later. After the users get this feature, they will be able to set up this folder. They will be notified by Google.
It will hide selected pictures/videos from the application's main grid, search, and also from the apps that access your device photos.
