Google planning a huge hardware R&D hub in Silicon Valley

Google declined to say anything about the plans

The tech giants Google is planning another Silicon Valley campus, which will be a new place completely producing products related to hardware.


In the year 2018, they have spent more than $389 million on land in California and the company has since filed detailed many initial proposals of plans for the place.


The future tech campus dubbed as "Midpoint," will include five office buildings connected through a walk over bridge over a road. It will be in three industrial buildings that will be producing hardware operations including Nest products.


"The goal of the proposed project is to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety and connectivity between the buildings and the surrounding community," Vini Bhargava, a project executive with Google's real estate and workplace services, wrote.


The company has planned many things that includes hundreds of updates to three industrial buildings. Including meeting rooms, lounge areas, micro kitchens, equipment platforms, conveyor belts and a shipping warehouse and also these buildings will be having general supplies and store items like furniture for local campuses. The whole place will be accommodating around 3,500 employees.


The company did not say the staring date of the project neither when the company expects it to be completed.
