Huawei was planning for a long time to launch smartphones with a rollable display and now the company has reportedly filed a patent for smartphones with that feature and the support for gesture controls.
The patent is filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization for a new method of a rollable display with haptic and sound effect.
According to the company, the screen extension could be achieved through finger swipes. To activate the rollable screen, the users would have to swipe their hands above a dedicated sensor. Then a rollable display feature will be available.
The smartphone makers are planning for many more features and upgrades for their smartphone segments.
