Kannada panel seeks correction of state's place names on Google Maps

As per statistics, the majority of tourists rely on Google Maps to reach their destinations

 

TS Nagabharana, noted film director and authority President, wrote a letter to the office of Google India Private Ltd located in the city seeking the correction of names which are wrong on Google Maps.

 

In the letter, he said that many names of villages and cities have been mentioned wrong on Google maps and sought correction for the same. He also noted how Google India is trying to reach out to the users in recent days.

 

The majority of tourists rely on Google Maps to reach their destinations and so the authority said it is required to correct the names of villages and cities that have been mentioned wrongly and is ready to extend its help to the company.
