The business and employment oriented online platform LinkedIn has announced that it is removing the 'stories' feature from it's site which they introduced in 2020.
Liz Li, senior director of products at LinkedIn said that they introduced the feature of stories in a fun and casual approach. "We've learned a ton. Now, we are taking those learnings to evolve the Stories format into a reimagined video experience across LinkedIn that's even richer and more conversational," she said.
She also mentioned that the company wants to adopt combined media and creative tools of stories in a steady way across it's platform while working to combine it more tightly with the user's professional identity.
So as a part of the change, they will remove the current stories experience by the end of September. She also thanked the users who used the feature.
