Microsoft and Honor sign partnership memo to develop new AI, devices

Microsoft will collaborating with Honor over mobile computing, PC and productivity applications

Honor and Microsoft have announced an enlargement of an ongoing partnership between the two firms.

The firms will cooperate on the Microsoft cloud adoption, personal and mobile computing, and also other technologies.

As per to the strategic cooperation memo signed by the two firms, Honor will adopt Artificial-Intelligence (AI) speech and AI translation services based on Microsoft Azure.

These services will be used to assist Honor's Smart Assistant YOYO, collaborative office, smart travel, life services, smart translation as well as other applications.

Hou Yang, the Corporate Vice President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft GCR said in a statement, "Microsoft hopes to accelerate the integrated development of software and hardware intelligence by continuously deepening and expanding our strategic cooperation with Honor, to bring richer experiences to end users, and to bring born-in-Asia innovations to the world by leveraging Microsoft Azure."

Microsoft will assist to enhance its user experience of Honor's mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smart screens, watches, earphones as well as other devices.

Microsoft will collaborating with Honor over mobile computing, PC and productivity applications.

The firms will also together explore the innovative mobile experiences.

Microsoft's resources, technical skills and global reach will provide sturdy help for enlargement of Honor across the world.

Microsoft was one the first businesses to collaborate with Honor after it became an independent firm.

Honor has announced plans for global cooperation with Microsoft earlier jn December 2020, and the Honor PC had adopted Windows 10 as its official operating system worldwide.
