The Perseverance rover of NASA has finally achieved its goal of successfully collecting the first rock of the Red planet Mars.

The chief engineer of the rover, Adam Steltzner has said that it is a perfect core sample which the rover has collected. He said, " Be patient, little sample, your journey is about to begin". He also said that he has never been so happy to see a hole in a rock.

According to the space station, the images of the sample show that it is present in the tube. However, the images are inconclusive due to poor sunlight conditions. So NASA said that it is awaiting more photos before declaring the success. However, the team is confident that the sample is in the tube.

The scientists are confident that the sample will effectively help to study the red planet and unveil many more secrets to the researchers.
