A huge cyberattack has been experienced by a Nepal telecom server where the Chinese hackers have attacked the server and stolen all the call data.
Hackers attacked the Oracle Glass Fish, a server used by the telecom companies. Technical experts after researching over the matter informed that 41 Tactics of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), 71 Tactics of Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) along with backdoor weapons were used by hackers for doing the nuisance.
The stolen data have been seen to be put on sale on the dark web by the hackers. The servers are now closed due to such a level of threats.
In a statement by the NTC it was said that, they till now haven’t been able to recognise the identity of the hackers and they have also closed the server after they had the information of some interference in it.
Ram Adhikari, MD of NTC said, the hackers didn’t get the hold of the main server it is secured. They only breached the CDMA server. The team of experts from the company are looking in-to the matter to trace the culprit down.
They even said that China has been well-guarded as a state which promotes them to launch attacks on foreign companies over the years.
