The first Marvel movie to feature an Asian American superhero movie 'Shang-Chi and The Legend of 10 Rings' directed by Destin Daniel Cretton has collected a gross total of Rs 7.50 crore in the first two days of release in India. The film released on September 3. The movie is released in theatres in different languages which are English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
The film's lead actor Simu Liu playing the role of Xu Shang-Chi or also known as Shaun, is Marvel's superhero offering with Asian actors in the lead.
The collections of the film are rising with time and are expected to perform better. The movie's Friday collections were Rs 3.54 crore while it arose to Rs 3.96 crore and saw a higher footfall on Saturday.
As per the trade analyst Taran Adarsh the film numbers witness limited growth on Day 2 while the South markets continue to dominate and the Hindi circuits need to show an upswing Fri 2.97 cr Sat 3.33 cr. The total collection of all versions of ShangChi crossed Rs 7.50 cr Gross.
The film has a powerful cast member who consists of stars like Awkwafina, Benedict Wong, Fala Chen, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, Florian Munteanu and many more.
