After a long wait, finally the Twitterati will see a new feature - auto-caption function - newly launched by the mic-blogging company.
Now people can add captions to their voice tweets. Although the audio function was launched long ago, the feature has been brought in now. Also with the launch of the social-media site’s commitment for accessibility also increased. It has been a year for the users to see the captions in their voice tweets.
On July 15, Twitter took to its support account to make this announcement. Users can now choose the option of automatic captioning for the audio tweets which they are going to tweet.
Right now only the iOS twitter users have the option to create voice tweets. Twitter has also said the captions will be available in different languages such as, English, Hindi, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Korean, Italian and some more.
After TikTok, Twitter is the second app to bring out this feature. This will help deaf and people with hearing ailment to read the captions and understand the context.
