Twitter testing new 'Safety Mode' feature

Twitter is testing a new feature called the 'Safety Mode'. The main purpose of this mode is to promote a healthy environment for the online users. It will temporarily block accounts of users for seven days who will be found using insults or hateful remarks.


This new feature has been rolled out to a small feedback group on iOS, Android.


The company said that these features and settings will help you to feel more comfortable and in control of your experience. It will also reduce the burden on the user who has been dealing with unwelcome interactions.


Twitter will assess the tweets and will take the necessary actions. The user has to switch on the mode for using.


The Safety Mode will temporarily block any accounts for a duration of seven days for using harmful language such as insults or hateful remarks or sending repetitive and uninvited replies or mentions.
