Google has now brought a new picture-in-picture (PiP) feature for its iOS YouTube app which allows premium subscribers to view video while the user is using other apps.
The new mode is limited only to YouTube Premium customers and is considered to be an experimental feature. It has to be activated manually. After being enabled, the feature allows users to minimize YouTube's window into a mini player that will float on other apps.
The company plans to provide this feature for all US subscribers of its premium service in July.
