20 World Cup: It will be difficult for Pakistan to win if Indian players don't make mistakes-Rashid Latif

Pakistan has never won a one-day or T20 World Cup game formats against India

Former Pakistan skipper Rashid Latif believes the Babar Azam led cricket team will find it difficult to win against Virat Kohli led team if the Indian players do not make mistakes on the field in their ICC T20 World Cup opener in Dubai on Sunday.

Pakistan have a miserable record against archrivals India cricket team when it comes to the World Cups. Pakistan has never won a one-day or T20 World Cup game formats against India.

Rashid Latif while speaking to Khaleej Times has said, “In my opinion, no matter how well Pakistan plays, if Indian players don't make mistakes, then it will be difficult for Pakistan to win the match.”

Latif recalls the time when he led the Pakistan cricket team, and said that he has always tried to create errors from the opposition.

However, he added that it is more important to do our own job first, but at the same time, it’s important to make the opposition to commit mistakes.

Latif added, "It's not just about the technique or skills, it’s about tactics. You have to get your tactics right and try to make the other team commit errors.”

Latif said “We have to see what Virat does if he wins the toss, and what combination he will be play.” .

Latif added that the Pakistan also have to see which spinners they will play. So, he added that there are chances of making a mistake by the skipper in terms of picking the right players.

However, the former skipper of Pakistan strongly feels that Babar Azam-led Pakistan will produce their best efforts to record their first win against India in a ICC World Cup game.
