He was born on 22 May 1987 in Yugoslavia, Serbia, Djokovic started playing tennis at the age of four, raised in a family of professional skiers. His parents Sreejan and Dijana run a restaurant in Serbia.
At the age of 18, he won his first ATP event and entered the top 100 of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He is the first Serb ranked number 1. 1 and is the first male player to win a Grand Slam title in Serbia.
He is the third most establish male tennis player in history after Federer (20) and Nadal (19). He won five ATP Finals, 34 ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles and 14 ATP Tour 500 titles. He is the only player to win all nine 1000 tournament master tournaments. He is the only man in the Open Age who has won Grand Slam titles in three different decades. He is the second of Ken's history in tennis to reach this level between 1953-1972. No one has ever won the Australian Opening as Djokovic. Djokovic is a 17-time Grand Slam champion.
