India crush England to enter WTC final

India gets qualified for the World Test Championship Final (WTC) which will be held at Lord’s in June this year

In a massive victory, India has defeated England by an innings and 25 runs in the final test of the fourth match of 3-1 series taken place in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and get qualified for the World Test Championship Final (WTC) which will be held at Lord’s where they will meet New Zealand later in June this year. The fourth and final Test of the series started with widespread controversy over the pitch, but India had managed to put well through it.


Axar Patel once again proved his brilliancy as he bagged his fourth 5-wicket haul while his spin partner Ashwin and also grabbed his 30th a five-wicket haul to help India bowl England out for 135 in their second innings. Rishabh Pant (101) and Washington Sundar (96 not out) lead India to fight back and ensured that India takes a big 160-run lead over England.


England on the other side was dismissed for just 135 runs, handing India an innings win. Apart from skipper Joe Root (30 off 72 balls) and Daniel Lawrence (50 off 95 balls), all other English batsmen struggled against the likes of Axar (5/48) and Ashwin (5/47).


The win takes social media by storm as Australia and England both were “defeated” by India on the same day.
