IPL 2021 Gambling Racket Busted in Delhi

Police are conducting an investigation and are trying to nab other people who are involved in the planning

Delhi Police has cracked an IPL gambling racket and arrested five men from Badarpur in the national capital.

 

Police got the information on 20 September that illegal gambling was going on in a flat at Molarband Extension, Badarpur. A raid was conducted by the police and five persons were found gambling on IPL matches.

 

Officials said that the accused, Akash (30), Ahsan (30) and Sunit Kumar Sinha (37), were all residents of Badarpur.

Another accused person was Mukesh (42), a resident of Vinod Nagar, and Mohammad Shahjad (32), a resident of Amroha district in Uttar Pradesh. All the gamblers were arrested.

 

Police said that two laptops, thirteen mobile phones, a television set and cash amounting to ₹52,000 were seized from their possession.
