Neeraj Chopra met with Abhinav Bindra and his family in Chandigarh on Wednesday. The Tokyo Olympics gold medalist got a puppy as a gift from the Beijing Olympics champion shooter. The name of the puppy is 'Tokyo'.
Neeraj Chopra expressed his happiness and wrote on his Instagram handle, "Started my time off by spending a wonderful afternoon with @abhinav_bindra sir and his family. Was able to introduce my medal to its elder sibling from Beijing and also enjoyed the warm hospitality of the Bindra family. Thank you sir for hosting us and for introducing me to 'Tokyo', the newest member of the Chopra family!"
The javelin star Neeraj Chopra joined with shooter Abhinav Bindra of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in an elite company as India's second individual Olympic gold medalist when he won the javelin final at Tokyo on 7 August 2021.
He had won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games. A National record of 88.07m throw is under his name. He has also secured a gold medal in Junior World Championship and currently holds the U-20 World Record with a throw of 86.48m.
