The first match UEFA Champions League for Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) did not produce the expected result.
As the star-studded French club were firm 1-1 by modest Belgium Champions Club Brugge in a Group A clash.

But the strongest trio had failed to click together as the star-studded French outfit could not defeat the strong resistance put up by the Belgian club.
There were al lot expectations that Messi's teaming up with Neymar and Mbappe could be a big threat to the opponents.
Evidently, from their first outing together, such a thing may take time to happen or even fail to do so.
The three football stars failed to gel and the result was PSG battling to have enough shots at the goal.
Aside from enjoying 63 per cent dominion, PSG could only produce only 12 shots with only two of them on goal against the 18 shots of Club Brugge and five of them on the target.
Early in the second half, Kylian Mbappe falter off the pitch after an awkward tangle with a pair of Brugge defenders.
However, he was replaced by Mauro Icardi but the club will be cordially waiting for the doctor's statement on Mbappe as him has been PSG's main scorer in recent times.
The score stayed drawn 1-1 as the Belgian side was fortunate to take a point off a strong side in their opening match in Group A and now they trail Manchester City, defeated RB Leipzig 6-3.
Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of PSG had faced criticism on his administrating of the team but defended his best trio for failing to click together.
Although the trio failed had on Wednesday, as they need a lot of work to click together and help the club to achieve their ambition of Champions League glory.
