Yuvraj Singh donates 100 ICU beds in Assam's Dibrugarh

It is being done for the treatment of children affected by COVID-19.

India World Cup winner cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his foundation “YouWeCan” has taken a humanitarian step in providing 100 beds to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH).

 

It is being done for the treatment of children affected by COVID-19. They sent a letter to the medical college and hospital informing them about the initiative the foundation was going to do for them.

 

The target of the foundation is to provide 1,000 ICU beds across various hospitals in the county. Among them 100 has been given to AMCH. Mainly Yuvraj's foundation deals in fighting children with cancer, but after the COVID-19 pandemic, they have decided to help kids with this virus as well.

 

In the initial stage, they will be giving 50 beds to the hospitals and the amount for buying the next 50 beds. Superintendent of AMCH Dr Sanjeev Kakoty said in an information that 20 will be full-fledged ventilators while the other 80 will be an Oxygen generated bed which will be setup in the children’s ward of the hospital.

 

Yuvraj has himself fought cancer and so he came up with this non-profit organization for helping other people.
