One of the major impending disasters, global warming is taking its speed and harming the earth and again it is proved by scientists that climate change is caused by human activities. They reviewed more than 80,000 studies and scientific papers and in them 99.9 percent concluded that the human's disastrous activities are causing the problems.
This significant research was published on Tuesday in the journal Environmental Research Letters. It updates a similar 2013 paper which showed that 97 per cent of studies published between 1991 and 2012 supported the idea that human activities are altering Earth's climate.
The survey which was conducted currently examines the literature published from 2012 to November 2020 to explore whether the consensus has changed.
Mark Lynas, a visiting fellow at Cornell University, US, and the paper's first author said, "We are virtually certain that the consensus is well over 99 percent now and that it's pretty much closed for any meaningful public conversation about the reality of human-caused climate change."
The researchers point out that it is critical to acknowledge the main role of greenhouse gas emissions so that they can rapidly find new solutions as the earth is already facing real time devastating impacts of climate related disasters on businesses, people and the economy.
However, the researchers said that in spite of such warnings, public opinion polls as well as opinions of politicians and public representatives point to false beliefs and claims that there is still debate going on among scientists over the true cause of climate change.
