Central China deeply flooded, condition 'very severe': Xi Jinping

He has given orders to the authority for prioritizing the safety of people’s life and property.

China is experiencing the heaviest rainfall of its lifetime. There has been a huge loss of property and lives in it and is continuing to happen.

 

Commenting on the situation, China’s President Xi Jinping had declared it as ‘very severe’ in the Henan province. He has given orders to the authority for prioritizing the safety of people’s life and property.

 

Cars have submerged fully in the flood. There were videos circulating on the internet which showed that passengers were struck inside a flooded subway car.

 

Most of the people, who were trapped, used to call for help using social media. The city’s subway system operation of trains has suspended all their operations.

 

It is also seen people in deep water pulling out persons who were trapped in underground malls using ropes. People have made human chains to stand still in the gushing water.

 

Around 12 have been reported dead as their bodies recovered from the subway system. Meanwhile, Zhengzhou, the city situated on the banks of Yellow River, has seen more than 1,00,000 leaving the city.

 

Emergency personnels have been deployed to help the people in every situation.
