The Communist Party of China has aimed to extend the personality cult of China's President Xi Jinping to young children and prepare a new generation of patriots. Following which, they have printed new textbooks titled as “Xi Jinping thought”.
The Chinese education ministry has said that this step will assimilate Xi’s political ideology into the national syllabus, from primary school students to graduates.
According to a government notice which said that the primary school teachers must plant the seeds of loving the Communist party, the country and socialism in young hearts.
The new books contain the president’s succinct quotes and images of his smiling face while the elementary school students are given chapters on the achievements of Chinese civilisation and the Communist Party’s role in controlling poverty and fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic.
One textbook says “Grandpa Xi Jinping is very busy with work, but no matter how busy he is, he still joins our activities and cares about our growth."
Various universities have now opened institutes dedicated to Xi’s thought.
