Just after Emirates declared a travel ban on passengers flights from India, Etihad has also joined the league.
The Middle Eastern airline earlier had put a suspension date till 2 August but now it has stretched it until further notice.
Though the airlines will operate the flights to carry the UAE nationals back who are in India or the cargo flights which will take run from both the sides without any restrictions.
A spokesperson for the airline has said that the decision has been taken due to the UAE government directive.
However, UAE nationals, holders of golden and silver residency visas and members of diplomatic missions who comply with updated COVID-19 protocols are exempt from ban and may be accepted to board for travel.
