The Biden administration is expected to start a mass booster campaign later this month and so US health regulators are seeking additional coronavirus booster shot data from Moderna Inc.
The American pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Moderna on Friday announced that it had completed it's submission of data for authorization of boosters as per requirements to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
As per reports, FDA is looking for all the information about the efficacy of a 100-microgram dose.
The US government said that it would offer boosters starting from 20 September, but for now it will only begin with the Pfizer-BioNTech shot. The Moderna is supposed to follow after some days later.
