As parts of China continue to grapple with the aftermath of severe rainfall, flooding and typhoons, another natural phenomenon has citizens reeling - sandstorms.
A sandstorm took place in the city of Dunhuang which is situated at the edge of Gobi desert. According to reports, it's height was even more than 100 metres and overtook all the high-rise buildings under it.
The transportation was stopped and the residents have been asked to stay indoors to be safe.
This isn't a new thing as Gansu province of the country usually faces such harsh climate.
