US Senate passes bipartisan $1 trillion infrastructure bill

The bill is aimed to revitalize country’s infrastructure

The US Senate on Tuesday passed a colossal $1 trillion bill to fix the mouldering infrastructure of the country and to overcome the long run problems like climate change.


The major bill which is one of the dream project of President Joe Biden is finally on the track after getting the support of all the democrats along with 19 Republicans including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who voted in favor of the bill. The bill was passed in a 69-30 vote by the 100 member chamber.


"The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will grow the economy, create good-paying jobs, and set America on a path to win the future", Biden said.


The historic bill could be the country’s largest ever investment in it's development of roads, bridges, airports and waterways.
