Man orders apples from grocery store, gets an IPhone instead

The iPhone was a part of a promotional campaign being run by the multinational grocery store chain Tesco.

Every day we heard many bizarre stories, stories of luck and inspiration all around the world. In such lucky instances a man from UK man who had ordered apples from a local grocery chain and received an iPhone instead! That’s quite luck!


The man identified as Nick James, a 50-year old man from Twickenham in the UK, was the lucky person who got an iPhone SE when ordering a bag of apples.


At first he thought, it’s some kind of prank, but later got to know that he really won an iPhone, which was a part of a promotional campaign being run by the multinational grocery store chain Tesco. The company is giving away free electronic goods such as Apple iPhones, Air Pods and Samsung devices as part of a “super substitutes” promotion and winners were randomly chosen. James was chosen as one of the lucky winners in grocery chain Tesco’s ‘Super Substitute’ promotional offer. Similarly, ordering gnocchi made
buyers eligible to win a free Nokia phone!


The staff informed him of his win when he went to collect the order he had placed online, which leaves him “shocked”. In fact, he says he initially thought the free iPhone SE was “an Easter egg or something.”


In a tweet, James said the surprise gift had made his son’s week.
