World's tiniest baby gets discharged from hospital

At the time of birth, Xuan was about 24 cm long, which is the length of two six-inch rulers.

We have come across various features and characteristics of human beings - from tallest to skinny and what not. Kwek Yu Xuan born at Singapore’s National University Hospital weighted about 212 grams - the tiniest baby in the world.

At the time of birth, Xuan was about 24 cm long, which is the length of two six-inch rulers. She is now discharged 13 months later from the hospital and presently she weighs about 6.3 kg.

She is a premature baby which arrived in just 25 weeks and was delivered via an emergency C-section. Taking care of the baby was very challenging and the medicines which were required had to be calculated minutely. Her body was sensitive because of her fragile skin but she fought against all odds and survived all her short comings.

Through a crowdfunding campaign her treatment cost was overcomed. The baby still suffers from chronic lung disease but doctors are expecting her to get better.
